Center for Food and Justice
Center for Food & Justice (CFJ) is a division of the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental College in California. With a vision of a sustainable and socially just food system, CFJ engages in collaborative action strategies, community capacity-building, and research and education. Projects include: Farm to School, Project CAFE (Community Action on Food Environments), Healthy School Food Coalition & LAUSD Programs, Farm to Hospital, The Grocery Accountability Project (GAP), Healthy After-School Snack Program, Project GROW, and the Los Angeles Fresh Food Access Program.
Food Innovation Center
The Food Innovation Center (FIC) offers one stop access to important services for food producers, processors, marketers, and entrepreneurs. It operates through a partnership between Oregon State University and the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Their staff of technologists, engineers, economists and business professionals has a breadth of real-world experience and depth of technical skills that foster the success of food and agricultural enterprises.

Agri-Business Council of Oregon
The Agri-Business Council of Oregon (ABC) is a private, non-profit volunteer membership organization established in 1966. Using industry collaboration, ABC works to preserve and enhance the vitality of Oregon agriculture. The ABC of Oregon consists of more than 1000 businesses. Members cover the broad spectrum of agriculture, including growers and producers, processors and manufacturers, suppliers, supporters (i.e. financial institutions), government, education and consumers. Their goal is to connect Oregon agriculture to the general public's everyday life.

Slow Food Portland

(the largest not-for-profit, educational food organization in the world), each called a "convivium," that carry out the Slow Food mission on a local level. Slow Food U.S.A. is dedicated to supporting and celebrating the food traditions of North America. Slow Food Portland is the oldest convivium in the country (1991) and still among the largest.
Portland Permaculture Guild
The Portland Permaculture Guild is an informal group interested in learning and promoting permaculture gardening techniques (a system of conscious, sustainable, ecological design) in the Portland Area. The Guild holds free monthly educational meetings that are open to everyone, as well as classes, workshops, and other activities.
